Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering, printing, framing and delivery. If your question isn’t answered here, email prints@daysrun.co.nz.

Orders & Delivery

How long will my order take?

Every print is made to order, so there are two parts: production, then transit.

  • Unframed prints take 3–5 business days to produce.
  • Framed prints take 7–12 business days to produce.

Add [FILL: 1–3] business days transit within New Zealand, or [FILL: 5–15] business days internationally.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is free anywhere in New Zealand, including rural delivery. International orders ship worldwide for a flat [FILL: $XX NZD] per order.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, worldwide. International orders are zero-rated for New Zealand GST, but you may be charged import duties or taxes by your own country on arrival. Those charges are set by your government and are your responsibility.

Will I get tracking?

Yes. You’ll receive a dispatch email with a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us. Allow up to 24 hours for tracking to start updating.

Can I change my delivery address?

Within 24 hours of ordering, yes — email prints@daysrun.co.nz. Once an order is dispatched we can’t redirect it.

Do you offer express shipping?

[FILL: “Not at this time.” OR “Yes — select express at checkout. Express affects transit time only, not production time.”]

Can I collect my order in Auckland?

[FILL: “Not at this time, all orders are shipped.” OR “Yes, by arrangement — email us before ordering.”]

Is an invoice included in the parcel?

No. Parcels contain the print and a packing slip only, with no pricing — so they’re safe to send as gifts. A GST invoice is available on request.

My order was supposed to arrive by now.

Delivery estimates aren’t guarantees, and courier networks occasionally slow down. If tracking hasn’t moved for [FILL: 5] business days, email us and we’ll chase it.

The Prints

What paper do you print on?

Ilford Smooth Cotton Rag 310gsm — a 100% cotton, acid-free, archival fine art paper with a smooth matte surface and no optical brighteners. It’s a heavyweight museum-grade stock chosen for depth and longevity.

Who does your printing?

Skar Image Lab in Auckland. Every print is produced individually after you order, using archival pigment inks.

Are your prints limited edition?

[FILL: “All prints are open edition.” OR “Prints are released in numbered limited editions of X. Once an edition sells out, it isn’t reprinted.”]

Are prints signed?

[FILL: e.g. “Yes — every print is signed on the reverse.”]

What sizes do you offer?

[FILL: list your sizes]. Custom sizes may be possible — email prints@daysrun.co.nz.

Will the print look exactly like it does on my screen?

Very close, but not identical. Screens emit light and paper reflects it, and every monitor and phone is calibrated differently. Slight variation in colour and tone between screen and print is normal, and it’s part of why we print on cotton rag — the paper renders tone beautifully.

The paper has a slight texture and tone variation. Is that a fault?

No. Cotton rag is a natural material. Fine variation in surface texture and warmth is inherent to the stock and part of its character.

Do you sell digital files?

No. Master files aren’t released. For commercial licensing, email prints@daysrun.co.nz.

Can I use your photographs on my own project?

Buying a print gives you the physical print, not the copyright — which stays with DaysRun Limited. You can’t reproduce, scan, digitise or commercially use the image.

You’re very welcome to photograph your print at home and share it on social media with a credit. Licensing enquiries: prints@daysrun.co.nz.

Framing & Care

Do you offer framing?

Yes. Framed pieces are finished by our framing partner after printing, which adds to the production time — 7–12 business days rather than 3–5.

Can I buy a print unframed and frame it myself?

Yes. Select the unframed option at checkout and take it to your own framer.

Glass or acrylic?

We use UV-protective acrylic on framed pieces. It blocks UV as well as glass does, and it’s far less likely to break in transit — which matters when a piece is travelling internationally.

What frame options are there?

[FILL: list frame colours / profiles]

How should I handle an unframed print?

Handle it by the edges, or with clean cotton gloves. Cotton rag marks easily and fingerprints are difficult to remove. If you’re not framing it immediately, keep it flat in its original packaging.

Where should I hang it?

Away from direct sunlight, heat sources and damp. Archival pigment inks on cotton rag are extremely stable, but no artwork does well in direct sun or a steamy bathroom. Cooler and shaded is better.

Does it come ready to hang?

[FILL: e.g. “Yes — framed pieces arrive with hanging hardware fitted.”] For larger pieces we recommend wall anchors rather than screws alone.

Returns & Problems

Can I return a print if I change my mind?

No. Every print is made to order specifically for you, so we can’t accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or wrong selection.

Please choose carefully — and if you’re unsure about size, email us before ordering. We’re happy to help.

Can I cancel my order?

Within 24 hours of placing it, yes — email prints@daysrun.co.nz with your order number for a full refund. After that, production has begun.

My print arrived damaged.

Email prints@daysrun.co.nz within 24 hours of delivery with your order number, photos of the damage, and photos of the packaging and courier label.

Keep the packaging — we usually need it for the courier claim. We’ll reprint and reship, or refund you.

What if I can’t report it within 24 hours?

Contact us as soon as you reasonably can and we’ll still assess your claim. The 24-hour window exists because courier claims are time-limited, not to shut you out. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 aren’t affected.

Tracking says delivered but nothing arrived.

Check with neighbours and your local courier depot first, then email us and we’ll investigate with the courier.

Full detail is in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Commissions & Working Together

Do you take commissions?

Yes, a limited number. Email prints@daysrun.co.nz with what you have in mind — the space, the scale, the timeframe and your budget — and we’ll come back to you.

Can I license an image for commercial use?

Licensing is considered case by case. Email prints@daysrun.co.nz with the image, the intended use, the territory and the duration.

Do you work with interior designers or hospitality projects?

Yes. Email prints@daysrun.co.nz to discuss trade and volume enquiries.

Do you sell gift cards?

[FILL: “Yes, available in the shop.” OR “Not at this time.”]

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

[FILL: list payment methods], processed securely through Squarespace. We never see or store your card details.

What currency are prices in?

New Zealand Dollars (NZD). Prices for delivery within New Zealand include GST at 15%. International orders are zero-rated for NZ GST.

Can I get a GST invoice?

Yes — email prints@daysrun.co.nz with your order number.

Still stuck? Email prints@daysrun.co.nz and we’ll get back to you within [FILL: 1–2] business days.
